The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has announced the appointment of Tatung Padi (IRS-IT: 2009) as Private Secretary to Pabitra Marghrita, Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles. This move comes as part of a recent order issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on September 13, 2024.
In his new role, Padi will be instrumental in assisting Minister Marghrita with both external affairs and textile-related matters. His appointment is effective from the date he assumes charge of the position, and will continue until March 17, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This term aligns with the remainder of his five-year central deputation tenure.
To facilitate this transition, Padi’s previous assignment as Director in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship has been curtailed.
