DFCCIL Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2026 with Nationwide Participation and Tree Plantation Drive in Noida

Employees, officials, and families join MDNIY-led yoga session linked with PM’s national event, followed by plantation drive promoting wellness and environmental sustainability across India.

New Delhi: The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation at its Corporate Office in Sector-145, Noida. The event was marked by a strong focus on health, wellness, and environmental sustainability.

The programme was held as part of the nationwide celebrations of the International Day of Yoga and was seamlessly aligned with the national event led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Employees and participants connected through a live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address and the national yoga session, joining millions across the country in a collective wellness initiative.

Participation Led by DFCCIL Leadership and Staff

The yoga session was led by the Managing Director of DFCCIL, who actively participated alongside senior leadership. The event saw enthusiastic involvement from Directors, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), senior officials, employees, and their family members.

Similar Yoga Day celebrations were also organized across DFCCIL field units, including Jaipur, Surat, Ajmer, and Tundla, where employees and officers participated with equal enthusiasm.

Yoga Session Conducted by Certified Instructors

The yoga activities were conducted by certified instructors from the prestigious Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga. Participants performed various asanas and pranayama techniques, while also being sensitized to the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life.

The session emphasized the importance of holistic health and mindfulness in maintaining productivity and well-being at the workplace.

Tree Plantation Drive Promotes Environmental Sustainability

Following the yoga session, DFCCIL organized a tree plantation drive within its Corporate Office premises. The initiative was led by the Managing Director and joined by senior officials, employees, and their families.

The plantation drive highlighted DFCCIL’s commitment to environmental sustainability and its vision of promoting a greener and healthier future. It also reinforced the connection between personal well-being and environmental responsibility.

Focus on Wellness, Sustainability, and Work Culture

The celebration underscored DFCCIL’s commitment to fostering a balanced work culture that integrates operational excellence with employee wellness and environmental consciousness. The organization emphasized sustainable practices both in professional and personal life.
