The Election Commission of India (ECI) has recently appointed IPS Anup Kumar Sahu as the police observer for the Kalka and Panchkula Assembly constituencies ahead of the Haryana Legislative Assembly polls. Dr. Yash Garg (2009 batch IAS officer), district election officer and the DC confirmed the appointment of IPS Sahu, a 2006 batch IPS officer from the Odisha cadre.
Mr. Garg stated that Officer Sahu’s camp office had been established at the PWD Rest House, room number 103, and people can meet him there with their grievances or complaints related to the model code or police matters concerning the elections between 3 pm and 4 pm.
