Engineers India Limited and MRPL Sign Agreement to Boost Energy Projects – All Details Inside

Engineers India Limited (EIL), a state-owned engineering consultancy company, has entered into an agreement with another public sector undertaking, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), on June 3, 2025. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) aims to fast-track the execution of a wide range of engineering and consultancy projects.

The MoA was signed at EIL’s Head Office in New Delhi in the presence of Ms. Vartika Shukla, Chairperson and Managing Director of EIL, and Mr. Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath, Managing Director of MRPL, along with senior officials from both organisations.

The agreement provides a comprehensive framework for accelerating the implementation of diverse projects in the fields of refineries, petrochemicals, biofuels, renewable energy, marketing terminals, depots, and other infrastructure initiatives of MRPL across India.

This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening the long-standing association between EIL and MRPL, especially in the hydrocarbon and renewable energy sectors, reinforcing their commitment to advancing India’s energy infrastructure.

Engineers India Limited (EIL) is a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, specializing in engineering consultancy and project management services primarily in the hydrocarbons and infrastructure sectors. With a legacy of over six decades, EIL has executed several major refinery, petrochemical, and renewable energy projects both in India and abroad.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL)

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) is a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and operates a state-of-the-art refinery in Mangaluru, Karnataka, with a capacity of 15 million metric tonnes per annum. MRPL is a key player in the refining and petrochemicals sector and is actively expanding its footprint into biofuels and renewable energy domains.
