Bhopal: The case involving Tripti Singh Rajput, who was arrested for allegedly posing as an IAS officer, has widened with a third FIR against her. A 28-year-old woman from Bhopal has accused Rajput of taking ₹3 lakh on the promise of helping her secure a job and subsequently arranging what she described as a fake training programme.
Police have registered the case against Rajput and an alleged associate and have begun investigating the complaint.
Woman Alleges ₹3 Lakh Taken for Job Promise
According to the complaint filed by Khyati Dholpure, a resident of Jahangirabad and originally from Betul, she met Rajput in June 2024.

The complainant alleged that Rajput introduced herself as the head of a department at the Naronha Academy and as an additional director at Madhya Pradesh Tourism (MPT).
Key allegations in the complaint:
- ₹3 lakh was allegedly taken with a promise of arranging employment.
- After Khyati sought a refund, Rajput initially allegedly delayed repayment.
- The ₹3 lakh was subsequently returned, according to the complaint.
- Rajput allegedly arranged a purported training programme for Khyati and her friend.
Training Conducted at Bhopal Museums
The complainant alleged that Rajput took her and her friend to the Tribal Museum and the Museum of Man in Bhopal, where they participated in activities including tree plantation and delivering speeches.
Videos were also recorded during these activities. According to Khyati, Rajput instructed her to identify herself by a particular designation to project confidence associated with an official position.
The videos were later circulated on social media, according to the complaint.
Earlier RTI Query Had Challenged IAS Claim
The latest FIR comes amid an ongoing investigation into Rajput’s alleged fake IAS identity.
As reported earlier, an RTI query filed by her father-in-law with the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, sought verification of her claimed IAS credentials. The response reportedly found no record supporting her claim of being an IAS officer.
Police have also recovered several items during searches, including:
- Government-style letterheads and purported identity cards
- Documents relating to an alleged appointment
- Mementoes carrying references to “trainee IAS”
- A vehicle bearing “Government of India” markings
Police Probe ₹1.5 Crore Fraud Allegations
Police are also examining allegations of financial fraud amounting to around ₹1.5 crore and investigating whether other people were involved.
Investigators are examining mobile phones, digital devices, bank-account details and documents as part of the probe. Training-related material and photographs reportedly obtained from Rajput’s in-laws are also being examined.
Police are separately looking into a video that Rajput allegedly posted on social media showing her inside the Madhya Pradesh Assembly premises.
The latest FIR adds another alleged victim and a new set of allegations to the investigation, while the claims remain subject to the ongoing police inquiry.
