With an ongoing controversy over the bomb scare outside Mukesh Ambani’s house Antilla and the eight-page complaint issued by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Mr. Param Bir Singh against Anil Deshmukh, Home Minister Mumbai, comments are flowing from many directions.
Ex-IPS officer P K Jain has also shown discomfort after Singh was removed from the post of Mumbai Police Chief to Commandant General of Home Guards “for carrying out a fair probe”. He further told media that, “An anti-corruption act offence should be registered against Anil Deshmukh. He should be removed from the position of Home Minister, if Pram Bir Singh has been removed despite carrying a fair probe.”
Jain also expressed the pressure police officers have to deal with while working in top positions. He said, “Police are always “under the thumb” of their political masters.” He stated that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under court supervision should probe this matter.
