Uttar Pradesh: The upcoming Ganga Expressway, stretching nearly 594 kilometers, is set to give a significant boost to industrial growth, investment, and employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh. Scheduled for inauguration in the last week of March 2026, the project is expected to transform the state’s industrial landscape. The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has planned multiple industrial corridors along the expressway, spanning 12 districts, creating opportunities for both domestic and foreign investors.
Major Industrial Hubs Along the Expressway
Meerut: Bijouli and Kharkhauda Industrial Hub
In Meerut district, a 214-hectare industrial hub is being developed near Bijouli and Kharkhauda, with a focus on automobile, electronics, and manufacturing industries. The region has also attracted interest from foreign companies, highlighting its potential as a major industrial center.
Hapur: Bahadurgarh Corridor
The Bahadurgarh region in Hapur will host a modern industrial corridor, including logistics parks, warehouses, and MSME units. Its proximity to Delhi-NCR makes it strategic for trade and transportation, and the corridor will also support food processing and small-scale industries with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Bulandshahr: Sadarpur Bhaina, Thera, and Chichawali
Around 120 hectares in Bulandshahr district are earmarked for an industrial corridor. Land acquisition is in its final stages, and industrial operations are expected to begin soon, creating new employment opportunities for local youth and boosting the region’s economy.
Amroha: Mangrola Industrial Park
Near Mangrola village in Amroha, a 120-hectare industrial park is under development, spread across 2,200 bighas of land. The park is expected to host 50+ factories, enhancing industrial output and creating significant local employment.
Sambhal: Khirni Mohiuddinpur, Basla, Sarangpur, and Amwati Kutubpur
Sambhal district is set to develop a 240-hectare industrial corridor, featuring modern infrastructure to facilitate the establishment of manufacturing units, logistics companies, and MSMEs, boosting economic activity in the region.
Shahjahanpur: Jalalabad High-Tech Corridor
In Shahjahanpur district, near Guldiya village, a 103-hectare high-tech industrial corridor is under construction. The project includes 24–36 meter wide roads, electricity, and water facilities, with plot allocation for industries expected to begin December 2025.
Badaun: Binawar and Dataganj Industrial Areas
Two industrial hubs are being developed along the expressway in Badaun district: Binawar near Ghatpuri village and Dataganj near Papad village. The arrival of industries is expected to boost investment, local businesses, and employment.
Hardoi: Savaijpur Industrial Cluster
In Hardoi district, around 337 acres in Savaijpur tehsil, covering Sarsai, Inayatpur, and Semarjhalla villages, will be developed into a major industrial cluster. This cluster will serve as a hub for manufacturing and logistics, benefiting surrounding districts as well.
Unnao: Sarai Katiyan and Murtajanagar
Unnao district is developing an industrial corridor in two phases. The first phase covers 132 hectares, while a second phase of 316 hectares is planned due to increasing investor interest, further strengthening industrial growth.
Prayagraj: Trans-Ganga Industrial Corridor
In Prayagraj, a new industrial corridor is being developed near Soranv, approximately 25 km from the city, with direct connectivity to the expressway. Existing industrial development in Shankargarh (Trans-Yamuna area) complements this expansion.
Raebareli: Itaura Buzurg Industrial Center
In Raebareli district, Itaura Buzurg village is being developed as a new industrial hub. Hundreds of bighas of land have already been acquired, and an additional 21 hectares are under acquisition. Once operational, this corridor will generate significant employment opportunities in the region.
Strategic Importance and Economic Impact
The industrial corridors along the Ganga Expressway are expected to:
- Accelerate industrialization in 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh
- Create large-scale employment opportunities
- Attract domestic and foreign investment
- Strengthen infrastructure for manufacturing, logistics, and MSMEs
- Boost economic growth, trade, and regional development
By linking industrial hubs with the expressway, the state government aims to create a comprehensive industrial ecosystem, combining modern infrastructure, transport, and logistics facilities, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a leading destination for industrial investment in India.
