Mussoorie: The Golden Jubilee Alumni Meet for the officers of the 1974 Batch Foundation Course was held at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) from April 2nd to 4th, 2025. This momentous reunion brought together 86 former civil servants, including IAS, IFS, IPS, and IRS officers, to commemorate five decades of service in governance and nation-building.

The event was a tribute to the significant contributions of the 1974 Batch Officers, who have been integral to the shaping of India’s public administration. The gathering celebrated their unwavering commitment to integrity, leadership, and service which continues to inspire future generations of civil servants.

The meet featured an inaugural session, followed by an interaction with the Director of the Academy, a memorial ceremony to honour departed officers, and an Academy tour. The alumni shared valuable experiences from their time in public service, evoking nostalgia and strengthening bonds of camaraderie and fellowship among the participants.

As part of their ongoing commitment to national development, the reunion batch participated in a ‘Shramdan for Swachhata’ cleanliness drive around the Academy, alongside the Director and faculty members. This initiative was also supported by the IAS Officer Trainees of the 2024 batch, who had pledged to contribute 100 hours of Shramdan as part of National Cleanliness Day. In total, the drive led to the collection of over 175 kg of dry waste, which was handed over to the Mussoorie Municipality.

This reunion not only marked the remarkable journey of the 1974 batch but also reinforced their continued role in shaping the future of public administration through their dedication to service and nation-building.
