New Delhi: The Eat Right Station certification has been awarded to five Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) stations as a major step toward providing safe, hygienic, and healthy food for railway passengers. The Eat Right Station certification is granted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to stations that meet strict food safety and hygiene standards under the national Eat Right India initiative.

What Is the Eat Right Station Certification

It is part of the FSSAI’s Eat Right India movement, aimed at promoting safe, nutritious, and sustainable food practices across public spaces including railway stations.

Stations That Received the Certification

The following five railway stations under Northeast Frontier Railway were recently awarded the Eat Right Station certification:

  • Dimapur Railway Station (Nagaland) – certified from October 24, 2025, to October 23, 2027.
  • Alipurduar Railway Station (West Bengal)
  • Kokrajhar Railway Station (Assam)
  • Golakganj Railway Station (Assam)
  • New Mal Junction Railway Station (West Bengal)

These stations successfully met the required FSSAI standards for safe food preparation, hygiene, waste management, and availability of nutritious options.
