In a compassionate move, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath assured a young girl named Mayra of admission to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. The assurance came during the Janata Darshan held at his residence in Lucknow on Monday, where the Chief Minister personally interacted with citizens and addressed their grievances.
When Mayra, accompanied by her mother from Kanpur, sought his help regarding admission, Mr. Adityanath inquired about her ambitions. Upon learning that she aspired to become a doctor, he immediately directed officials to facilitate her admission. Adding a personal touch, he also treated the young girl with chocolates, bringing smiles to her face.
Citizens Express Gratitude
Mayra’s mother expressed her deep gratitude for the Chief Minister’s timely intervention. She said, “We came here to request the Chief Minister for my daughter’s admission. We were unable to secure admission in Kanpur, but now with his assurance, our worries are gone. We are very happy.”
Janata Darshan: A Platform for Direct Governance
Mr. Adityanath emphasized that Janata Darshan is not only a forum for hearing grievances but also a means to ensure that citizens’ voices reach the highest level of governance. On Saturday, he had conducted a similar Janata Darshan at the Circuit House in Varanasi, personally hearing over 100 grievances and instructing officials to resolve them swiftly.
He received applications from complainants, handing them directly to the Commissioner, Police Commissioner, and District Magistrate while seeking timely redressal and feedback. Issues raised included sewer connections, road construction, land disputes, compensation, and demands such as a digital library for the blind and affordable halls for artists.
Commitment to Public Welfare
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government’s foremost aim is to “serve, protect, and respect citizens.” He stressed that continuous efforts are being made to ensure happiness and justice in every household. During interactions, he also engaged with children accompanying complainants, asking about their studies and motivating them to excel academically.
Officials and Representatives Present
The Janata Darshan witnessed the presence of government ministers, local representatives, and senior administrative as well as police officials, ensuring that all matters raised received immediate attention and follow-up.
