The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of creating an environment of joy, enthusiasm, and harmony during the upcoming festivals such as Sharadiya Navratri, Vijayadashami, Diwali, Dev Deepawali, Chhath Mahaparva, and others.

Mission Shakti 5.0 to Launch on Navratri

Highlighting the government’s commitment to women’s safety and empowerment, Mr. Adityanath announced that Mission Shakti 5.0 will commence on September 22, the first day of Sharadiya Navratri. The month-long campaign will be rolled out in phases and will feature:

  • Bike rallies by female police officers on September 21 in all districts
  • Activation of Anti-Romeo Squads from September 22 to ensure safety at public places
  • Awareness drives in gram panchayats led by women beat officers
  • Recognition of women achievers at the state and district levels
  • Continuous activity at Pink Booths to assist women

The campaign aims to promote not only safety but also self-reliance and respect for women across Uttar Pradesh.

Focus on Law and Order, Public Vigilance

Mr. Yogi Adityanath stated that past festivals have been celebrated in a peaceful manner, thanks to effective law enforcement and public cooperation. He directed all departments to remain on 24×7 alert and take proactive steps to maintain communal harmony.

Officials were instructed to:

  • Restrict identified troublemakers
  • Take strict action against rumor-mongers and fake news creators on social media
  • Ensure swift communication and presence of senior officers at any sensitive incident
  • Prepare city-specific traffic and crowd management plans

Improved Civic Services and Emergency Readiness

The Chief Minister ordered departments to ensure uninterrupted civic services during festivals. This includes:

  • Cleanliness and drinking water availability at temples
  • Uninterrupted power supply as per district rosters
  • Timely road repair and maintenance to avoid disruptions
  • Emergency trauma services with availability of medicines, snake venom, and rabies injections
  • Provision of flood relief kits, dry food, and compensation within 24 hours in rain-affected districts

He also instructed the allocation of residential leases on higher ground for flood-affected families, prioritizing registration of homes in the names of female heads of households.

Daily Review, Public Feedback, and Developmental Vision

Mr. Adityanath directed officials to review incidents and complaints daily, ensuring efficient response to public grievances received via CM Helpline, IGRS, and other channels. He linked the festive preparedness to the state’s broader development mission under Vikas Bharat – Vikasit Uttar Pradesh 2047, encouraging districts to identify scholars for local-level consultation and public outreach.

This developmental vision reflects the government’s focus on good governance, inclusive growth, and participatory planning for a future-ready Uttar Pradesh.
