- International Women's Day 2021
Each year, the 8th day of March is globally recognised as a felicitous day to celebrate numerous social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women in an overtly patriarchal world order — in the form of International Women’s Day (IWD). Global reformers and activists have selected this particular day to decide innovative ways to ameliorate the numerous hindrances faced by women in their pursuit of empowerment and gender equality. Keeping this sublime objective in mind, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances has come up with the astounding idea of convening a virtual round-table webinar themed “Women in Civil Service” at 3 pm (IST) on the 8th of March, 2024.
Many distinctive Officials from all Ministries and Departments, State Departments, and District Collectors shall grace this pioneering event. The incumbent secretary in the Department of Sports, Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi (1989 batch IAS, Bihar cadre), the incumbent secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Ms. Anita Praveen (1989 batch IAS, Tamil Nadu Cadre), and Ms. Nidhi Khare (1992 batch IAS, Jharkhand cadre), presently serving as the officer on Special Duty in the Department of Consumer Affairs, have been invited to be the lead speakers in this webinar.
