New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has declared the commercial operation of the final 6 MW tranche of its 150 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project (Phase-I) located in Bhuj, Gujarat. This marks the full commissioning of the project under NTPC’s hybrid renewable energy program.
Final Tranche Powers Completion of Wind Phase-I
The 6 MW capacity became operational from 00:00 hours on July 31, completing the entire 150 MW of the Dayapar Wind Project. The project is part of the larger 450 MW Hybrid Renewable Energy Project being implemented by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a step-down subsidiary of NGEL.
The first tranche of 50 MW was commissioned on November 4, 2023, followed by 90 MW on April 9, 2025. With this milestone, NTPC continues to accelerate its clean energy agenda through phased project execution.

NTPC Group Capacity Climbs to 82,902 MW
With the commissioning of the final segment of the Dayapar Wind Project, NTPC Group’s total installed and commercial capacity has reached an impressive 82,902 MW. This achievement aligns with NTPC’s long-term renewable roadmap and India’s broader national objective of transitioning to cleaner sources of power.
The operational update was formally disclosed by both NTPC Limited and NTPC Green Energy Limited to the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited on Thursday.
