Gandhinagar: In a significant move to strengthen India’s technological self-reliance, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) has proposed a strategic research and development (R&D) collaboration with MSMEs and startups in Gujarat. The initiative aims to co-develop advanced technologies and innovative products aligned with the national vision of self-reliance.

The announcement follows a high-level meeting held on March 16, 2026, between GRSE Chairman and Managing Director and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel in Gandhinagar.

GRSE’s proposed initiative emphasizes collaboration with local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and emerging startups. The goal is to create a strong innovation ecosystem that leverages regional entrepreneurial talent.
