Ahmedabad: The Confederation of Indian Industry hosted its Gujarat Annual Session and a high-level conference titled “Gujarat @$1 Trillion Economy” in Ahmedabad on Friday, bringing together policymakers and industry leaders to discuss the state’s future economic roadmap.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed confidence that Gujarat is on track to become a $1 trillion economy by 2030, driven by strong policy support and industry partnerships.
Vision Inspired by PM Narendra Modi
The Chief Minister credited Narendra Modi for laying the foundation of Gujarat’s growth model. He said the state is progressing by following the Prime Minister’s vision of inclusive and infrastructure-led development.
He recalled that earlier, development was concentrated in the Vapi-Vadodara belt, but strategic investments in water, electricity, and infrastructure expanded growth across the entire state.
Vibrant Gujarat Summit Boosts Global Investment
Highlighting the impact of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, launched in 2003, Patel said Gujarat has become a preferred destination for global investors.

CM Patel emphasized that Gujarat is a “policy-driven state,” ensuring transparency and ease of doing business for industries. He added that policies are continuously updated to meet evolving economic needs.
Roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’
The Chief Minister said Gujarat has already begun implementing a long-term roadmap aligned with India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
He assured industrialists of full government support in achieving the $1 trillion economy target.
