In a sweeping bureaucratic reshuffle, the Gujarat government has transferred 10 IAS officers, impacting key positions across the state. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued the notification detailing the changes on Tuesday.

Among the notable changes, 2011 batch IAS officer Shweta Teotia, who was serving as the collector of Narmada district, has been appointed as the Director (Administration) at Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd in Vadodara. Her position will be filled by S K Modi, the current District Development Officer (DDO) of Gandhinagar.

2011 batch IAS officer K D Lakhani, the collector of Porbandar, has been reassigned as the Director of Labour in Gandhinagar, while SD Dhanani, the DDO of Devbhumi-Dwarka, will take over as the new collector of Porbandar.

In Sabarkantha, N N Dave will be transitioning to Valsad as the new collector, with Ratankanvar Gadhavicharan, a 2009-batch IAS officer and the state project director of Samagra Siksha Abhiyan in Gandhinagar, stepping in to replace him.

N V Upadhyay, the Municipal Commissioner of Bhavnagar, will move to the role of Registrar of Co-operative Societies in Gandhinagar.

Sujeet Kumar, a 2010-batch IAS officer, will assume the position of Bhavnagar’s civic chief.

Additionally, Lalit Narayan Singh Sandu, the Managing Director of Gujarat State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation, has been appointed as the new State Project Director of Samagra Siksha Abhiyan.

This reshuffle follows an earlier round of transfers on July 31, where 18 IAS officers were reassigned, including T Natarajan, who was appointed Principal Secretary in the state finance department after returning from a tenure at the Centre.
