The government of Gujarat gave some new responsibilities to two IAS officers. Ms. Ponugumatla Bharathi, a 2005-batch IAS officer, was mandated to assume charge as Special Commissioner in the Department of State Tax, while Ms. Arti Kanwar, a 2001-batch IAS officer, the incumbent Secretary in the Finance Department, Economic Affairs, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, was given additional charge of the post of Chief Commissioner in the Department State Tax.
