Bengaluru: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will showcase its rapidly growing civil aviation portfolio at Wings India 2026, scheduled to be held at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, from January 28 to 31, 2026. The highlight of HAL’s participation will be the display of the Dhruv New Generation (NG) helicopter, H-228 commuter aircraft, and the Super Jet (SJ) 100 regional aircraft, marking a major milestone in India’s civil aviation journey.
HAL Highlights Focus on Civil Aviation and Regional Connectivity
Dr D K Sunil, Chairman & Managing Director, HAL, said that the participation reflects HAL’s strategic focus on strengthening India’s civil aviation ecosystem.
“HAL is steadily expanding its civil aviation footprint and the showcase of Dhruv NG, H-228 and the SJ-100 trinity at Wings India reflects our focused thrust in strengthening regional connectivity, civil utility operations and future-ready aircraft programmes, while reinforcing India’s journey towards self-reliance in civil aviation,” he said.
SJ-100 Regional Aircraft to Make Formal Debut
A key attraction at Wings India 2026 will be the formal debut of the SJ-100 regional aircraft. HAL is collaborating with United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Russia, to manufacture the SJ-100 in India, reinforcing the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and enhancing domestic aircraft manufacturing capabilities.
Static Display and Live Demonstration Flights
HAL’s stall will feature static displays of the Dhruv NG, H-228, SJ-100, and SJ-100 Aurus (business jet). In addition, customer demonstration flights of the Dhruv NG and H-228 will be conducted to showcase their real-world performance, safety standards, and operational versatility.
HAL Pavilion and Technology Showcase
HAL will be located at Hall A, Stall No. 27, where scaled models of the Dhruv NG, H-228, H-228 Amphibian, SJ-100, LUH Civil, along with Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and aviation accessories, will be on display.
Digital product kiosks will provide insights into aviation components, accessories, and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) activities. HAL is also expected to sign multiple MoUs with industry partners during the event.
Supporting UDAN and ‘Make in India’ Initiatives
HAL’s participation at Wings India 2026 underscores its commitment to supporting the UDAN Scheme for regional connectivity and the government’s ‘Make in India’ policy. The company has invited industry professionals, OEMs, and operators to visit its pavilion to explore technologies and discuss collaboration opportunities.
