New Delhi: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), in partnership with the HAL (B) Families Welfare Association, successfully hosted the inaugural edition of the National Women’s Conference – ‘Tejasvi’ at the HAL Management Academy. The event brought together over 350 women delegates from HAL units, central public sector enterprises (CPSEs), and defence establishments across India.
Themed “Women Who Create Radiance at Home and in the Workplace,” the conference celebrated the multifaceted roles of women in modern India — as professionals, caregivers, leaders, and change-makers.
Chief Guest Stresses ‘RADIANCE’ as the New Leadership Mantra
The Chief Guest, Manisha Chandra, IAS, Joint Secretary (Aero), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, delivered an inspiring keynote address. She introduced and emphasized the values embedded in the acronym RADIANCE:
RADIANT, AUTHENTIC, DEDICATED, INTELLIGENT, ADAPTABLE, NURTURING, CREATIVE, and EMPATHETIC
These, she stated, are essential leadership traits for women navigating today’s dynamic personal and professional landscapes.

Golden Jubilee Postal Cover Released
As part of the event, a Golden Jubilee Postal Cover was released to mark 50 years of welfare contributions by the HAL (B) Families Welfare Association — a testament to HAL’s long-standing commitment to family support and community development.
Eminent Speakers Inspire on Leadership and Balance
The conference featured notable speakers including:
- Padma Dr. Vijayalakshmi Deshmane – who shared stories of resilience and leadership in healthcare
- Dr. Bhavani Rao – speaking on women’s empowerment and sustainable development
- Satyabhama Gupta – providing insights into financial well-being and work-life integration
Their sessions offered valuable guidance on sustainable finance, mental wellness, leadership, and achieving balance in fast-paced environments.
