In a significant administrative move, the Haryana government has issued transfer and posting orders for three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, effective immediately.
1993 batch senior IPS officer Alok Mittal, currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Additional Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhavan in New Delhi, has been appointed as the ADGP of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). He will continue to hold his position as Additional Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhavan, New Delhi.
This transfer relieves 1997 batch IPS officer Amitabh Singh Dhillon of his responsibilities as ADGP ACB.
Meanwhile, 1998 batch IPS officer Saurabh Singh, the Commissioner of Police in Faridabad, has been appointed as the new ADGP CID (CID Chief). His promotion to the top CID post underscores his leadership capabilities within the Haryana Police force.
The reshuffle is expected to bring fresh leadership to key positions within the state’s police administration, with a renewed focus on tackling corruption and strengthening law enforcement.
