Mr. Ritesh Chauhan, a 2005-batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Secretary of Animal Husbandry in Himachal Pradesh. Currently awaiting posting, Mr. Chauhan will take over the role, relieving Mr. Rakesh Kanwar, a 2007-batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS officer, of this charge.
Officer Chauhan had earlier served as the Managing Director of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED).
