Hindustan Shipyard Limited Wins 2 Prestigious Awards at Governance Now 11th PSU Awards

New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has once again demonstrated its leadership in the maritime sector by winning two prestigious awards at the Governance Now 11th PSU Awards ceremony, held in Delhi on Friday. The awards recognize the significant contributions of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to national development, highlighting HSL’s commitment to operational excellence and innovation.

At the ceremony, Cmde Girideep Singh, HSL’s Director (Strategic Projects), was honored with the ‘Operations Leadership’ award for his pivotal role in implementing strategic reforms, innovative engineering solutions, and driving efficiency in HSL’s operations. His efforts have been instrumental in the successful completion of ship repair and submarine refit projects on time or ahead of schedule in recent years.

Additionally, HSL’s commitment to strategic communication and global visibility was recognized with the ‘Communication Outreach’ award. Neelima Boni, Senior Manager (Corporate Planning) and Public Relations Officer at HSL, received the award on behalf of the company. This accolade celebrates HSL’s initiatives in enhancing its digital presence, branding, and expanding its global outreach.

The awards were presented under the ‘Other PSU’ category by Satish Chandra Dubey, Minister of State for Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines, and Satya Pal Singh, Former Minister of State for HRD. The event also recognized organizations from the Maharatna, Navratna, Miniratna, and State PSU categories, underscoring the vital role of PSUs in driving national growth.

These recognitions further strengthen HSL’s standing as a leader in the maritime sector and affirm its unwavering dedication to excellence, self-reliance, and innovation. With continued operational excellence and an expanding global footprint, HSL remains at the forefront of advancing India’s maritime and defense capabilities.
