HPCL Celebrates 51st Foundation Day with Heritage Tribute and Renewed Commitment to Nation-Building

Mumbai, 15 July 2025Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), one of India’s leading energy PSUs, commemorated its 51st Foundation Day with a nostalgic and forward-looking celebration at its headquarters in Mumbai. The event was marked by the inauguration of a specially curated Heritage Dispensing Unit, reminiscent of India’s petroleum retailing era of the 1970s, symbolizing HPCL’s rich journey through the decades.

Heritage Unit Inaugurated to Honour HPCL’s Legacy

Chairman & Managing Director Shri Vikas Kaushal inaugurated the heritage installation, which serves as a visual tribute to HPCL’s evolution as a key contributor to India’s energy infrastructure. The event was attended by Director Finance Shri Rajneesh Narang, Director Refineries Shri S Bharathan, Director Marketing Shri Amit Garg, and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri A K Tiwari, along with other senior officials.

The heritage unit captures the essence of HPCL’s early days and pays homage to the transformation of India’s petroleum retail sector over five decades. It aims to inspire employees by grounding the company’s future vision in its strong historical foundation.

Symbolic Celebrations and Renewed Pledge

Following the unveiling of the heritage unit, CMD Shri Vikas Kaushal unfurled the HPCL flag, symbolizing unity, progress, and the company’s unyielding commitment to India’s development. A Foundation Day Pledge was then administered by CMD Shri Kaushal and Director Finance Shri Rajneesh Narang, reaffirming HPCL’s core values of excellence, sustainability, and alignment with the national goal of Viksit Bharat.

The ceremony highlighted HPCL’s vision to remain at the forefront of India’s energy transition. The company reaffirmed its dedication to responsible growth, innovation, and customer-centric service while honouring its historical achievements.
