HUDCO 56th AGM: Record ₹4,034 Crore Profit and ₹1.64 Lakh Crore Loan Sanctions in FY26 

HUDCO reports strongest-ever financial performance, with loan book rising to ₹1.60 lakh crore and record ₹6.05 per share dividend recommended.

New Delhi: Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) reported its strongest-ever financial and operational performance for FY 2025-26 at its 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held through video conferencing.

Addressing shareholders, HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Kulshrestha highlighted the company’s strategic role in financing housing and infrastructure projects as India moves towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Despite global economic and geopolitical uncertainties during the year, HUDCO recorded strong growth in loan sanctions, disbursements and its loan book while maintaining robust asset quality.

HUDCO Records Strong Growth in FY 2025-26

HUDCO reported significant growth across key financial and operational indicators during FY 2025-26.

Key Financial Highlights

  • Loan sanctions: ₹1,64,758 crore, up 29%
  • Loan disbursements: ₹51,194 crore, up 28%
  • Loan book: ₹1,60,724 crore, compared with ₹1,24,828 crore
  • Total income: ₹13,327 crore, up 29%
  • Net profit: ₹4,034 crore, up nearly 49%
  • Net worth: ₹21,977 crore
  • Gross NPA: 1.04%
  • Net NPA: 0.05%
  • Provision Coverage Ratio: 94.90%
  • Capital Adequacy Ratio: 39.93%

The capital adequacy ratio remained well above the regulatory requirement of 15%, reflecting HUDCO’s strong capital position.

Record Dividend Recommended for Shareholders

HUDCO’s Board recommended a record dividend of ₹6.05 per equity share, amounting to a total dividend payout of ₹1,211.15 crore.

The company also retained its AAA/Stable domestic credit rating during the year.

HUDCO achieved an ‘Excellent’ MoU Rating for the second consecutive year, further reflecting its operational performance and institutional strength.

Borrowing Costs Decline, ECB Funding Strengthened

HUDCO also made progress in reducing its financing costs during FY 2025-26.

The company’s cost of borrowings declined by 27 basis points during the year.

HUDCO mobilised $700 million through External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs) and secured an additional $1.3 billion for future drawdown.

These funding initiatives are expected to support the company’s growing financing requirements for infrastructure and urban development projects.

HUDCO to Expand Urban Infrastructure Financing Through UiWIN

HUDCO will continue to partner with states and cities through its Urban Invest Window (UiWIN) initiative to accelerate urban infrastructure development.

Launched in November 2025 under the guidance of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, UiWIN functions as a one-stop solution for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

The initiative has already partnered with several states, including:

  • Rajasthan
  • Madhya Pradesh
  • Chhattisgarh
  • Gujarat
  • Bihar
  • Odisha

Through UiWIN, HUDCO aims to strengthen access to financing and support urban infrastructure development across cities and states.

Focus on PPPs, Asset Monetisation and Risk Management

Leveraging its Navratna status and NBFC-IFC status, HUDCO is expanding its participation in Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) across various sectors.

The company is also reviewing key policies and advancing asset monetisation initiatives.

At the same time, HUDCO said it remains focused on maintaining strong asset quality through proactive risk management.

The company intends to strengthen its role in financing resilient and sustainable infrastructure while supporting the evolving needs of India’s rapidly urbanising population.

Focus on Housing, Climate-Resilient and Digital Infrastructure

HUDCO said its future focus will include financing projects related to:

  • Housing infrastructure
  • Urban infrastructure
  • Climate-resilient assets
  • Digital infrastructure
  • Sustainable urban development

As India continues to urbanise, the company aims to support infrastructure that is resilient, inclusive and sustainable.

CMD Sanjay Kulshrestha reaffirmed HUDCO’s commitment to contributing to the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision by strengthening institutions and providing transformative financing for infrastructure development.

During the AGM, Sanjay Kulshrestha expressed gratitude to the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and officials of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Finance.

He also acknowledged the continued guidance and support of regulatory, financial and statutory institutions as well as other stakeholders whose collaboration has contributed to HUDCO’s sustained growth and performance.
