The central deputation tenure of 2008 batch IAS officer of Sikkim cadre, Aishvarya Singh, currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce, has been extended for an additional year.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday, 7th December 2024, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal from the Department of Commerce to extend Singh’s deputation for one year beyond her current end date of 5th December 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
This extension reflects the government’s confidence in Singh’s leadership and expertise in overseeing critical commercial affairs at the central level.
