Mr. Amit Sharma, 2012-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, currently serving in Mizoram, has been re-designated as Secretary to the Government of Mizoram following his promotion to the Selection Grade (Level 13 in the Pay Matrix) of the Indian Administrative Service. The notification was issued by the Government of Mizoram after the Ministry of Home Affairs’ order dated January 1, 2025.
Previously, Mr. Sharma served as Special Secretary (Independent Charge) for the Information, Communications & Technology (ICT) and Cooperation departments in Mizoram, where he played a pivotal role in implementing key initiatives to drive the state’s progress in these sectors.
Additionally, another officer, Mr. K Zorammuana (2012-batch IAS officer), Special Secretary (Independent Charge) of the Planning and Statistics department, has also been re-designated as Secretary to the Government of Mizoram under the same notification.
