The government of Gujarat has recently appointed Mr. Hareet Shukla (IAS) as the state’s new Chief Electoral Officer with an additional charge as Ex-Officio Principal Secretary in the General Administration Department (Election). Officer Shukla is a 1999-batch IAS officer who was last posted as the Principal Secretary in the Departments of Tourism, Devasthanam Management, Civil Aviation & Pilgrimage, Industries & Mines.
