The Government of India has approved the promotion of Kumar Saurabh Raj, a 2011 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, from Deputy Secretary to Director in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. His elevation has been granted as a personal measure under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the re-designation will take effect once he assumes charge. Raj will continue in this role until January 24, 2028, completing a five-year tenure as director.
