Ms. Mona Khandhar, a 1996-batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary of the Panchayat, Rural Housing & Rural Development Department, has been appointed Chairperson of the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board. She succeeds retired IPS officer Hasmukh Patel, who resigned after his appointment as Chairman of the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC).
Officer Khandhar will oversee recruitment for the Panchayat Department while continuing her existing responsibilities.
