IAS Mugdha Sinha has recently been appointed the Director General of Tourism by the Ministry of Tourism. Officer Sinha, a 1999-batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer, replaces IAS Manisha Saxena to assume her new role. Officer Sinha was last posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. Officer Saxena (1996-batch AGMUT cadre) has been made Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training.
