On February 14, the Cabinet Appointments Committee approved the extension of the central deputation tenure of the 2001-batch IAS officer Darpan Jam, as per recommendation by the Department of Commerce in the role of the Joint Secretary in the DoC. Senior bureaucrat Darpan Jam shall continue in office for a tenure of two years from February 19 until further notifications, whichever is earlier.
