According to an official statement issued on Sunday, former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has urged city officials to focus on improving people’s lives. During the valedictory session of a capacity-building programme for Maldivian civil officials and Jammu and Kashmir officers, Shringla emphasised the significance of fast and inclusive development for resilient growth, as well as the role of technology in improving citizens’ lives.
Shringla, who is also the chief coordinator for India’s G-20 presidency, advocated for the construction of a conceptual framework to satisfy people’s needs and aspirations, as well as work for the region’s and countries’ holistic development.
He also emphasised the need of forming partnerships to foster ties and create an enabling climate among countries. The capacity-building programme, which was attended by 25 Maldivian civil servants and 38 Jammu and Kashmir civil servants, was held in Mussoorie and New Delhi. These are flagship programmes of the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), an autonomous government organisation in India.
