Gujarat: Reshuffle of 50 IAS Officers, M K Dave Posted as Collector, Gandhinagar

With the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 knocking at the door, the Government of Gujarat has wasted no time in issuing a circular, reshuffling 50 bureaucrats across the state. The circular, signed by the Additional Chief Secretary IAS Kamal Dayani and Additional Secretary (General Administration) IAS Ashok Dave, has mandated the reorganisation of 50 distinguished bureaucrats with new postings at crucial locations across the state. 

The capital of the state, Gandhinagar, gets a new collector in Mr. MK Dave (IAS) who assumes office after being transferred from his former post of District Development Officer (DDO) of Ahmedabad. 

Previously posted in Gandhinagar as Managing Director, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat, Dr Sourabh Zamsingh Pardhi (IAS) shall join as the new Collector of Surat.

IAS officer Neha Kumari gets the collectorship of Mahisagar-Lunawada after having served as the Deputy Municipal Commissioner of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. 

Amerili district gets a new District Development Officer in PB Pandya (IAS), who was serving as Director of Higher Education (Gandhinagar).

The Collector of Vadodara, AB Gor (IAS), has been ordered to vacate his collectorship and take oath as Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister’s Officer at Sachivalay of Gandhinagar. Now, Vadodara has a new collector as IAS Officer BA Shah has been transferred here from the collectorship in Jamnagar.

IAS officer BK Srivastava has been selected for the office of Joint Secretary to the Government Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department in Gandhinagar after vacating his post as the DDO of Surat. 

Besides these officers, as many as 43 other bureaucrats from the Gujarat cadre have been reshuffled into new postings, keeping the prospect of the world’s largest democratic exercise (LS Elections 2024) in mind.
