Special Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, Ms. Poonam Malakondaiah, an IAS officer of 1988 batch and Andhra Pradesh cadre), has been issued notices by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in a case pertaining to alleged irregularities in the formation of AP MedTech Zone in Visakhapatnam and misappropriation of funds belonging to the National Health Mission.
Besides Ms. Poonam Malakondaiahm, the court also issued notices to AP Medtech zone Chief Executive Officer Jitender Kumar Sharma, Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, Medical and Health department and Vigilance and Enforcement department.
A High Court bench asked Ms. Malakondaiah and others to file their counter affidavits within three weeks and posted the case to a subsequent date three weeks later.
