As per a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the deputation tenure of Mr. Vikas Narwal, a 2008-batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer, as the Deputy Chairperson of the Cochin Port Authority (CoPA) has been recently cut short.
The competent authority has approved the proposal from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways to end his tenure, which was originally scheduled to last till July 2027.
