Lucknow: In a routine yet strategic bureaucratic reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has issued transfer and posting orders for five senior IAS officers.
These changes aim to bolster key administrative sectors including higher education, public service recruitment, cleanliness drives, and water resource management, ensuring experienced officers are optimally positioned for governance priorities.

Girijesh Kumar Tyagi – Secretary UPPSC, Prayagraj
Formerly Special Secretary in the Higher Education Department and Registrar of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Law University, Lucknow, 2014 batch IAS officer Girijesh Kumar Tyagi has now been posted as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Prayagraj. He will oversee state-level recruitment and civil service examinations, a critical responsibility for maintaining administrative efficiency.
Ashok Kumar – Special Secretary in the Irrigation, Water Resources
IAS Ashok Kumar, currently serving as Secretary of the UPPSC, has been given a dual role and posted as Special Secretary in the Irrigation, Water Resources & Wasteland Development Department and the Prison Administration & Reform Department.
Gunjan Dwivedi – Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural)
Mrs. Gunjan Dwivedi, who was awaiting posting, has been assigned as Mission Director for the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), strengthening the state’s ongoing cleanliness and sanitation initiatives.
Ratnesh Singh – Addl Director, Uttar Pradesh Administration and Management Academy, Lucknow
IAS Ratnesh Singh, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Additional Director of the Uttar Pradesh Administration and Management Academy, Lucknow, contributing to the training and development of government personnel.
Anita Verma Singh – Special Secretary, Higher Education
Formerly Special Secretary in Irrigation, Water Resources & Wasteland Development Department and Prison Administration & Reform Department, Mrs. Anita Verma Singh has been posted as Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department and Registrar of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Law University, Lucknow.
Significance of the Reshuffle
