Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has swung into action as soon as he took over the reins of power. With the formation of the government, Om Prakash, who was posted as Chief Secretary, has been removed.
In his place, 1988 batch Uttarakhand cadre IAS officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu has been made the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand. He will take over as the 17th Chief Secretary of the state. He is likely to take charge on Tuesday.
Mr. Sandhu is currently the chairman of the National Highways Development Authority at the Centre. In 2019, he was entrusted with the responsibility of the National Highway Authority.
