IAS officer Mehta Sampada Suresh has been given the responsibility of Private Secretary to the President of India Draupadi Murmu. Mehta Sampada Suresh is an officer from the Maharashtra cadre. Prior to this, she was posted as the Director of Revenue Department in New Delhi.
The letter issued by the Government of India read, “The appointment of Ms. Mehta Sampada Suresh (IAS MH-2008) as Director of the Pay Matrix, Draupadi, President of India at the level of Pay-13 (Rs 1,23,100-2,15,900)”. Murmu’s appointment as Private Secretary is given the charge of the post for a period up to 30-03-2027.”
Earlier on May 19, 2017, the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, appointed 2008 batch IAS officer Sampada Mehta as the new Collector of Mumbai. Mehta was earlier working as the Project Director of Maharashtra Agricultural Competitiveness Project based in Pune.
