The Jammu and Kashmir Government has assigned new designations to IAS officers Sarmad Hafeez and Mohammad Aijaz Asad following their recent promotions. As per an official order, Sarmad Hafeez has been named Commissioner Secretary of the Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Department, while Mohammad Aijaz Asad has been appointed Secretary of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
The redesignation comes after their advancement to higher pay levels, with Sarmad Hafeez promoted to the Super Time Scale (Level 14) and Mohammad Aijaz Assad elevated to the Selection Grade (Level 13) in the pay matrix. Hafeez has previously held significant administrative roles in tourism and youth services, while Assad has contributed to governance through various key assignments, particularly in rural development.
