Patna: IAS officer Priyanka Rani, 2019 batch, has assumed charge as the Director of the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Welfare Department. After taking office, she emphasized that the overall social, educational, and economic development of SC and ST communities will be her top priority.

Focus on Transparent Implementation of Welfare Schemes

Director Priyanka Rani stressed the importance of ensuring that all welfare schemes run by the department are implemented efficiently, on time, and transparently, in line with the government’s objectives. She underlined that eligible beneficiaries will receive the intended support without delays or irregularities.

The Director warned that any negligence, indifference, or lack of cooperation in scheme implementation will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against those who hinder departmental functioning or fail to fulfill their responsibilities.

Priyanka Rani added that transparency, accountability, and sensitivity will be ensured in departmental operations. She emphasized prompt resolution of public welfare issues and expressed confidence that all officials and staff would work together effectively to achieve the department’s objectives and contribute to the upliftment of SC and ST communities.
