The Uttarakhand government has carried out another administrative reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities to four IAS officers. This follows a recent major reshuffle on May 10, during which 25 IAS officers and 13 PCS officers were reassigned.
As part of the latest changes, Ms. Nikita Khandelwal (2015-batch IAS officer), has been relieved of her charge as Director of the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA). Mr. Gaurav Kumar (2017-batch IAS officer), who currently serves as Director of the Urban Development Department, has now been given the additional charge of Director, ITDA.
In another key change, Mr. L. Fanai (1997-batch IAS officer), Principal Secretary, has been relieved from the role of Secretary, Food Department. The responsibility has now been entrusted to Mr. Harichandra Semwal (2005-batch IAS officer) who is currently serving as the Food Commissioner. Mr. Semwal will now hold dual responsibilities as Food Commissioner and Secretary, Food Department.
These changes reflect the state government’s ongoing efforts to streamline administrative functions across crucial departments such as Information Technology, Urban Development, and Food.
