New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved extensions in the central deputation tenures of several senior officers serving in key positions across ministries:
- Kumar Ravi Kant Singh, IAS (UP:2008), Joint Secretary in the Department of Military Affairs, has been granted a two-year extension in his central deputation tenure beyond June 1, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Niraj Kumar Gayagi, IDAS (1997), Joint Secretary in the Department of Justice, will continue in his role up to April 6, 2026. This extension completes a combined tenure of six years under central deputation.
- Sanjay Garg, IAS (KL:1994), Additional Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research & Education and Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), has received a one-year extension beyond August 24, 2025 — i.e., up to August 24, 2026, or until further orders.
- Prof. Abhay Karandikar will continue as Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, with a one-year extension effective from July 1, 2025, or until further orders.
These extensions reflect the government’s continued confidence in the leadership and expertise of the officers serving in critical areas of governance and policy implementation.
