IAS Roopa Mishra’s Central Deputation Tenure Extended by One Year

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs’ (MoHUA) proposal to extend the central deputation tenure of Ms. Roopa Mishra, a distinguished Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 2004-batch Odisha cadre, for an additional year.

Currently serving as the Joint Secretary in MoHUA, Ms. Mishra’s extension will be effective beyond February 2, 2025, or until further orders. This decision reflects the government’s trust in her leadership and significant contributions to urban development initiatives.

Ms. Mishra has been instrumental in advancing key policies and programs aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure and housing across India. Her continued tenure is expected to ensure seamless progress on ongoing projects and the effective implementation of government schemes.
