The Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed senior IAS officer Mr. Shantmanu (1991-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer) as the interim Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and Director of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), J&K.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Mr. Shantmanu, who is currently serving as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the School Education Department, will hold the additional charge until further orders. His appointment has been made under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Act, 1975.
Meanwhile, fourteen candidates have been shortlisted for the posts of Chairman, JKBOSE, and Director, SCERT. They are set to appear for an interaction before the Search Committee on March 5.
