In a recent development following a circular issued by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Mr. Suresh Kumar Gupta, a 1991-batch IFS officer from the AGMUT cadre, currently serving as PCCF (Ex-cadre) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, has been appointed as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force (PCCF & HoFF) for the Jammu and Kashmir segment of the AGMUT cadre.
The appointment, in Level-17 of the Pay Matrix with a salary of Rs. 2,25,000, will take effect from February 1, 2025, following the superannuation of the current incumbent on January 31, 2025. Mr. Gupta will assume charge thereafter as PCCF & HoFF in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
