A senior 1995-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, Dr. Swati Vijay Kulkarni, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. Her new role was announced by the Ministry of External Affairs via a notification that read, “Dr. Swati Vijay Kulkarni (IFS: 1995), presently Additional Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.“
Dr. Kulkarni, a 1995-batch IFS officer, is presently serving as an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
