Indian Overseas Bank Extends ₹50 Lakh CSR Support to Strengthen Assam Flood Relief and Rehabilitation 

IOB’s CSR contribution will strengthen the Assam government’s ongoing flood relief and rehabilitation efforts while supporting affected communities across the state.

Assam: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a government-owned public sector commercial bank headquartered in Chennai, has contributed ₹50 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The contribution is aimed at supporting flood relief and rehabilitation efforts in Assam and strengthening the state government’s ongoing measures for affected communities.

A delegation from IOB’s Guwahati Regional Office presented the contribution to Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The delegation included:

  • Rajiv Kumar, Chief Regional Manager
  • Anurag Singh Kshatriya, Assistant General Manager
  • Pushkar Singh, Chief Manager

IOB Supports Assam’s Flood Relief Efforts

Commenting on the bank’s contribution, Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank, said the bank stands in solidarity with the people of Assam during the difficult period.

He said the contribution to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund is intended to strengthen the state government’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-affected districts.

Srivastava also said that IOB remains ready to assist its customers in the affected districts.

The contribution reflects IOB’s continued commitment to supporting communities during times of crisis.

IOB’s CSR Initiative Strengthens Community Support

The ₹50 lakh contribution forms part of IOB’s CSR efforts to support communities during challenging situations.

The bank’s assistance will contribute to the relief and rehabilitation measures being undertaken by the Assam government for people affected by flooding.

IOB Reports ₹1,659 Crore Net Profit in Q1 FY27

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Indian Overseas Bank reported an operating profit of ₹2,693 crore.

The bank’s net profit stood at ₹1,659 crore for the quarter.
