Bhopal/Raisen: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Thursday described industries as modern-day temples and emphasized their critical role in driving India’s self-reliant economic vision. Speaking at the Rakshabandhan Mahotsav held at the Sagar Manufacturers Private Limited unit in Tamot Industrial Area, Raisen district, Dr. Yadav celebrated the rising industrial and employment opportunities in the state, particularly under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Industries are like temples for us. They are sanctuaries of employment, progress, and self-reliance,” said Dr. Yadav, addressing a large gathering of women industrial workers and residents.
Swadeshi at the Forefront of Industrial Expansion
Dr. Yadav praised the growing industrial activity across Madhya Pradesh as a reflection of PM Modi’s Swadeshi spirit, asserting that citizens of the state are fully committed to adopting Swadeshi practices.
He noted,
“Organic cotton from Madhya Pradesh is being exported to countries like China, Japan, Vietnam, and Spain. This shows how local production is achieving global reach.”

Upcoming Projects to Boost Local Economy and Jobs
The Chief Minister highlighted two major upcoming industrial projects:
On August 10, the groundbreaking ceremony for a railway coach manufacturing factory will be held in Raisen.
On August 25, PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate PM Mitra Textile Park in Dhar, a mega initiative expected to generate over one lakh jobs, especially for youth and tribal communities in the Malwa region.
He also revealed that PM Modi would soon gift a Metro train to Bhopal, marking a major step in urban infrastructure development.
Visit to Textile Unit, Warm Rakshabandhan Celebrations
During the program, Dr. Yadav visited the textile production unit, inspecting ongoing operations and interacting with workers. Women employees tied rakhi to the Chief Minister as part of Rakshabandhan festivities. Dr. Yadav reciprocated with flowers and gifts, personally engaging with the women workers present in large numbers.
Ladli Sisters Receive Special Rakhi Gift
In his address, the CM emphasized the state government’s continued commitment to women’s welfare:
Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, women received a special ₹1500 Rakshabandhan gift.
Women employed in employment-oriented industries are being supported with a monthly salary assistance of ₹6000.
“Our government is working for the prosperity of all — farmers, laborers, poor families, and especially our sisters,” he added.

Sagar Group Applauded for Local Employment Drive
The CM lauded Sagar Group for creating employment opportunities for thousands from nearby villages. The industrial unit currently employs 8,000 people, including 5,000 women.
“I congratulate Sagar Group for providing not just jobs but also food and housing for their workers. This model should be emulated across the state,” Dr. Yadav noted.
