New Delhi: Nazeem Ahmed, an officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS: 2011), has been re-designated as Director in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an official order on Thursday (February 28, 2025), confirming the re-designation.
According to the order, the competent authority has approved Mr. Ahmed’s promotion to the Director level, effective from the date he assumes charge of the re-designated post. His tenure in this role will be for a period of five years, running up to December 21, 2028, under the central staffing scheme.
This re-designation reflects the government’s confidence in Mr. Ahmed’s capabilities and is expected to bring fresh leadership to the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
