Following a circular issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, IPS Amit Garg (1993-batch Andhra Pradesh cadre), the incumbent Additional Director at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad, was mandated to keep his additional charge as the Director of SVPNPA for three additional months beyond May 31st.
Officer Garg has been occupying the additional charge as SVPNPA Director, which kept getting extended by three months for five times since the superannuation of Mr. A Seem Rajan (1987-batch Bihar cadre IPS officer) on February 28th, 2023.
